Stakeholders - Reimagining the Michigan School for the Deaf

Beginning in October of 2015, a diverse group of stakeholders gathered in Lansing to Re-Imagine the Michigan Department of Education's School for the Deaf.  A process called Structured Dialogue was utilized to ensure every voice was heard and honored.  The work involved 3 distinct phases, referred to as "Co-Laboratories" or "Co-Labs".  Co-Lab I was focused on identifying the "Ideal Vision". Participants were encouraged to dream, without constraint, to determine what "ought to be" (vs. what is or can be).

Co-Lab II, in mid-November, will focus on the barriers to achieving the ideal and Co-Lab III will focus on Actions to overcome the barriers and approximate the ideal.
